Of these, 59 trillion soums accounted for investments and loans attracted from abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A fifth of foreign investments were provided by China, which took the first place in terms of its share in their amount. Russia is slightly behind with 18.8%, and Saudi Arabia closes the top three with 8.5%.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Turkey took the fourth place (6.2%), followed by Cyprus with 4.3%. Of the European countries, Germany (2.7%), Switzerland (2.5%) and the United Kingdom (2%) also account for large investments in Uzbekistan. The top 10 also included the USA (1.9%) and Italy (0.5%).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">At the same time, in terms of the number of new joint ventures and foreign enterprises, Russian investors are still noticeably ahead of the Chinese \u2014 425 against 329 in seven months. The third place went to Turkey with 143 firms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In addition, investors from South Korea and\u00a0Kazakhstan \u2014 94 and 59 companies were established with their participation, respectively. Among the world&#8217;s leading economies, representatives of the USA (22) and Germany (17) created the most new companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Russia, China and Turkey also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spot.uz\/ru\/2023\/08\/24\/foreign-ventures\/\">hold<\/a> the lead in the total number of firms with foreign participation in Uzbekistan.
