This decision <a href=\"https:\/\/openinfo.uz\/uz\/facts\/74427\/\">was made<\/a> by shareholders at a meeting on August 30.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Entrepreneur Sarvar Fayziev, who owned 52.1% of the bank&#8217;s shares since 2021, <a href=\"https:\/\/openinfo.uz\/ru\/facts\/73588\/\">sold<\/a> them in early August to Chairman of the Board Iskandar Tursunov, whose share increased from 19.9% to 72.05%. The deal<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uzse.uz\/trade_results?mkt_id=ALL&amp;date=04.08.2023&amp;search_key=UZ7048610008\"> is valued<\/a> at 52.2 billion soums. The remaining shares belong to Fortis Reserve System, Sharq Guzar Servis and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In addition, shareholders voted to update the composition of the bank\u2019s supervisory staff, which included Ulugbek Muslimov, Takhmina Zakirova, Nazhmiddinhoja Sharipov, Shukhrat Pulatov and Aziz Ahrarov, and also determined the right to place additional shares worth 300 billion soums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">At the end of 2022, the bank <a href=\"https:\/\/openinfo.uz\/ru\/reports\/20430\/\">suffered<\/a> losses of 8.54 billion soums; for the first half of 2023, losses <a href=\"https:\/\/openinfo.uz\/ru\/reports\/20724\/\">amounted<\/a> to 3.46 billion soums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In addition, as of August 1, 80.5% of loans (212 billion out of 263 billion soums) <a href=\"https:\/\/cbu.uz\/ru\/statistics\/bankstats\/1279574\/\">are considered<\/a> problematic. This is the second worst indicator among banks after Uzagroexportbank (which was recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazeta.uz\/ru\/2023\/08\/15\/avo-bank\/\">bought<\/a> by Olimjon Shadiev\u2019s company and changed its name to AVO Bank), but its loan volume is only 0.4 billion soums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Ravnaq-bank <a href=\"https:\/\/ravnaqbank.uz\/ru\/about\/info\/\">was founded<\/a> in June 2001. The bank&#8217;s business plan identifies three strategic business areas: corporate, commercial and retail.
