On September 29, in accordance with the business program, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the Economic Forum organized in Berlin under the auspices of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, the press service of the head of our state reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was also attended by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.<\/span><\/p>\n

The German side was represented by the Federal Minister for Special Assignments, the head of the Office of the Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schmidt, the State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Udo Philipp, and the Chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Katrina Klaas-M\u00fchlh\u00e4user.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the forum was attended by heads of leading German companies and banks, such as CLAAS, Siemens Energy, Knauf, Linde, Papenburg, BayWa, WILO, IPEX-Bank, Commerzbank, AKA, Mangold Consulting, Deutsche Bahn, DB E.C.O., Euler Hermes, Ernst Klett, SMS Group, Deutsche Bank, Evonik Industries, John Deere, BASF, Airbus and others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The leader of Uzbekistan emphasized with great satisfaction that today\u2019s event is evidence of the growing interest of German business in expanding activities in the Central Asian market.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prospects for investment, innovation and technological cooperation, the implementation of cooperation projects in high-tech industries, as well as in the field of \u201cgreen\u201d energy, deep processing of raw materials, logistics and transport, and personnel training were noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTogether we are doing a lot of work to modernize the leading sectors of the country\u2019s economy, creating effective value chains and thousands of new jobs. We are interested in the emergence of new platforms and permanent platforms for open dialogue,\u201d noted the President of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The development of Uzbek-German trade, economic and investment relations in recent years was noted with satisfaction. The number of joint projects and enterprises has doubled.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 All of you really do a lot for the development of Uzbek-German multifaceted relations, and your projects are examples of long-term successful cooperation. And I really appreciate it,\u201d the head of our state emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

The leader of our country, separately focusing on the priorities of further expanding cooperation with German companies, outlined a number of promising areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, this is the development of cooperation and expansion of the presence of German companies in Uzbekistan. The head of our state noted the presence of great opportunities for the production of in-demand industrial products.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to support regional projects, the President of our country proposed holding a Central Asian exhibition of high industrial technologies from leading German manufacturers in Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the most important areas of partnership is \u201cgreen\u201d energy. The head of Uzbekistan noted the successful experience and promising projects of cooperation with German partners in the development of alternative energy.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the regional level, it was proposed to develop and adopt a Cooperation Program with German engineering and design centers and industrial holdings for the implementation of green economy projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President touched upon the importance of joint projects in the field of critical raw materials with the introduction of advanced technological solutions in their processing and the organization of exports of industrial products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special attention is paid to food security issues.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCentral Asia has all the necessary potential to fully meet domestic needs and organize the export of quality food products to European countries,\u201d noted the head of our state.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, readiness was expressed to attract energy efficient and digital technologies of German companies to the agricultural and water sector of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was proposed to hold joint regional events in the food sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President also focused on cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. The importance of developing effective routes connecting Central Asia with Europe was emphasized. For expert support of transport projects, it was proposed to attract specialists from leading German organizations and companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

An important direction for the development of Uzbek-German multifaceted cooperation is the support of initiatives for the training of qualified specialists.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, the head of our state confirmed his readiness to continue to fully support business initiatives and joint investment projects in Uzbekistan, noting that Central Asia is a region of great opportunities for representatives of German business.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
