The construction of the power unit is included in the investment program of Uzbekistan until 2025, approved last December.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The project will be implemented by the Japanese company Mitsubishi Power Ltd. The power unit is planned to be built and put into operation from 2023 to 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">After launch, the power unit will generate and send 4.8 billion kWh of electricity to the general power grid. Thanks to the use of modern energy-efficient equipment, up to 1 billion cubic meters of gas will be saved compared to old units.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In July, construction of new power units with a capacity of 1 GW <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spot.uz\/ru\/2023\/07\/25\/talimarjon-expand\/\">began<\/a> at the Talimarjan Thermal Power Plant.
