{"id":10857,"date":"2023-11-27T17:13:59","date_gmt":"2023-11-27T12:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/?p=10857"},"modified":"2023-11-27T17:13:59","modified_gmt":"2023-11-27T12:13:59","slug":"prezident-uzbekistana-obsudil-s-delegatsiej-saudovskoj-aravii-proekty-razvitiya-polnomasshtabnogo-partnerstva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/novosti-uzbekistana\/prezident-uzbekistana-obsudil-s-delegatsiej-saudovskoj-aravii-proekty-razvitiya-polnomasshtabnogo-partnerstva\/","title":{"rendered":"The President of Uzbekistan discussed projects for the development of a full-scale partnership with the delegation of Saudi Arabia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>On November 27, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of Saudi Arabia led by the Kingdom\u2019s Minister of Investment Khalid al-Falih, the press service of the head of our state <a href=\"https:\/\/president.uz\/ru\/lists\/view\/6889\">reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sverenins.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/39d08747-e337-94c9-803f-b7c55c60c8b5_lists_slider_6889.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16680\" src=\"http:\/\/sverenins.uz\/wp-content\/uploads\/39d08747-e337-94c9-803f-b7c55c60c8b5_lists_slider_6889.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"854\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Current issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Saudi multifaceted cooperation and full-scale partnership, including the unconditional practical implementation of agreements at the highest level, were discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Investment conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes to the leader of Uzbekistan from the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The head of our state noted with great satisfaction the dynamic development of mutually beneficial cooperation in recent years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Indicators of mutual trade and volumes of Saudi direct investment in the economy of Uzbekistan, primarily in the field of \u201cgreen\u201d energy, are growing, and the frequency of direct flights is increasing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">With the support of the Saudi Development Fund, a number of socially significant projects are being implemented in the fields of healthcare, education, water supply and other areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">A joint fund for expanding the economic opportunities of Uzbekistan is being created.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">As part of the current visit of the Saudi delegation, agreements were signed on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the field of chemistry, energy, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, IT and infrastructure development worth $12 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The importance of accelerating the implementation of large energy projects in various regions of our country was emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">An agreement was also reached to promote new projects and programs totaling $11 billion in the field of transport infrastructure and utilities, geology, irrigation, household waste processing, higher education, and labor migration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The fruitful partnership with ACWA Power, which is the largest investor and strategic partner in the development of green energy in Uzbekistan, was especially emphasized.
