The entire volume of the issue was placed with the Hungarian bank in accordance with the purchase and sale agreement concluded between the parties.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The volume of additional capitalization through direct investment amounted to about $70 million. After the transaction, OTP Bank&#8217;s share in the authorized capital of Ipoteka Bank increased from 75% to 79.6%.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The size of the bank&#8217;s authorized capital reached 3.83 trillion soums, an increase of 28.3%. This is expected to \u201ccontribute to strengthening [its] position in the Uzbek financial services market.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">OTP Bank <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spot.uz\/ru\/2022\/12\/12\/otp-ipoteka-bank\/\">signed<\/a> an agreement with Uzbekistan to purchase 75% of Ipoteka Bank a year ago. It was then reported that the deal was planned to be closed by July 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">At a meeting with the president in March, it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spot.uz\/ru\/2023\/03\/25\/privatization-2022\/\">became known<\/a> that the deal brought $324 million to the budget.
