The event was attended by the General Executive Director of Masdar, Muhammad Jamil Al-Ramahi, Vice President of China Energy Engineering Corporation Wu Yun, Chairman of the Board of China Energy International Group Liu Zexiang, Chairman of the Board of China Gezhouba Group Lin Xiaodan, executives companies SEPCO III, Dongfang Electric Corporation and others, with whom these important investment projects are being implemented.<\/span><\/p>\n

As the head of our state emphasized, our country is implementing a large-scale program to reform and increase the sustainability of the energy system.<\/span><\/p>\n

In recent years, favorable conditions have been created for the development of the private sector and leading foreign companies in the industry. With their participation, projects are being successfully implemented to expand the renewable energy potential of Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, for the first time, solar power plants with a total capacity of 200 megawatts, which have so far generated 1 billion kilowatt-hours of \u201cgreen\u201d energy, were put into operation entirely through foreign direct investment under public-private partnership conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Emirates Masdar has completed projects for the construction of three modern photovoltaic stations in Jizzakh, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions with a total capacity of 900 megawatts. The first stage of a wind power plant with a capacity of 500 megawatts was built in the Tamdyn district of the Navoi region.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, in the Bukhara and Kashkadarya regions of the Chinese \u201cChina Gezhouba Group\u201d the construction of the first stage of two solar stations with a total capacity of 1000 megawatts has been completed.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is noteworthy that the construction work was completed in record time – in just nine months.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the ceremony, the head of our state, together with foreign partners, launched the commissioning and connection of new energy facilities to the network.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special thanks were expressed to the investors, engineers and builders who made a great practical contribution to the implementation of the projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result of the full commissioning of these projects with a total cost of $2 billion, two million households will have uninterrupted access to electricity, it will be possible to save 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, and produce industrial products and services worth $4 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his speech, the President touched upon further plans for the further development of this area.<\/span><\/p>\n

– The large-scale work we are carrying out today is the next step in the implementation of our reforms in the energy industry. We will consistently continue these measures and gradually switch completely to efficient market mechanisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our country is currently working on projects to build 22 solar and wind power plants with a capacity of 9 gigawatts. We will continue to expand our fruitful partnership with foreign companies,\u201d the leader of Uzbekistan emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

In general, by 2030 it is planned to increase the capacity of \u201cgreen\u201d power plants to 27 gigawatts. This will allow saving 25 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually and reducing emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere by 34 million tons.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
