On May 22, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Grand National Assembly of the Turkish Republic led by the chairman of the assembly Numan Kurtulmus, who is in our country on an official visit, the press service of the head of our state reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the head of our state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Current issues of deepening Uzbek-Turkish relations of a comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The current highest level of bilateral cooperation, ongoing active contacts and exchanges at all levels were noted with satisfaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indicators of mutual trade turnover and investment are growing, the number of joint projects and enterprises, and the frequency of flights are increasing. Joint cultural events are held in the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fruitful ties have been established between the legislative bodies of Uzbekistan and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n

The importance of further development of inter-parliamentary relations, active participation of friendship groups and specialized committees in shaping the agenda of Uzbek-Turkish cooperation and ensuring control over the implementation of agreements at the highest level was emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

Particular attention was paid to promoting investment programs and stimulating tourism, business and educational exchange.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prospects for interaction between parliaments within the framework of international structures, in particular the Organization of Turkic States, were also discussed.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
