The head of our state sincerely welcomed the heads of the leading companies, especially noting their important role in expanding the trade and economic partnership of our countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

– You are the driving force of the economy, boldly introducing innovations, creating enterprises and jobs,<\/em> – Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was noted that the event, held for the first time in this format, will mark the launch of a new stage in the trade and economic cooperation of the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The head of our state noted with satisfaction the breakthrough results of the current summit. A broad agenda of cooperation was discussed, promising growth points were identified. The first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council was held, and the Treaty on Allied Relations was signed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 We have reached the highest level of interstate cooperation and have actually opened a new chapter in Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations,<\/em> \u2013 the head of Uzbekistan noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was emphasized that the main results of the negotiations were agreements on the formation of even more favorable conditions and comprehensive support for business in our countries, including joint entry into foreign markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

In recent years, great progress has been made in this direction. Trade turnover and the number of joint ventures have increased several times, a number of cooperation projects are being successfully implemented, interregional exchanges have intensified, and a joint Investment Company is successfully operating.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, during the business forum held the day before, a solid portfolio of agreements and contracts worth more than 2 billion dollars was signed.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his speech, the leader of Uzbekistan emphasized that business should become the main driver and play a decisive role in the implementation of key tasks within the framework of the Year of Economic Cooperation, declared by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are talking about promising projects in 20 priority areas of cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n

– We are unanimous with the respected Ilham Heydarovich: the future of cooperation lies with business, the future of multifaceted relations between the two countries depends on you,<\/em> – Shavkat Mirziyoyev summarized.<\/span><\/p>\n

The head of our state assured entrepreneurs that all necessary conditions will be created for their effective and comfortable activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In turn, the heads of the leading companies of the two countries expressed gratitude to the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan for the support provided and informed about specific plans for the implementation of new cooperation projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of the meeting, the leaders took part in the ceremony of launching cooperation projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among them are the construction of a hotel and residential complexes in Tashkent, the production of building materials in the Kashkadarya region, the creation of textile clusters, a garment factory and other projects in Azerbaijan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having launched these projects, the Presidents expressed confidence that they will serve to increase the volume of mutual trade turnover, create modern production facilities and new jobs.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
