Negotiations of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts in a narrow format and with the participation of delegations were held in the Congress Center of the city of Samarkand, the press service of the head of our state reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the meeting, the leader of our country especially noted the historical significance of the visit of the federal chancellor to Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

– We consider this as a confirmation of your special attention to the further development of the multifaceted Uzbek-German relations and the support of irreversible reforms in New Uzbekistan,<\/em>– Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

The head of our state sincerely congratulated the guests on the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany and the upcoming day of German unity.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the negotiations, the issues of further expansion of the Uzbek-German multifaceted relations were considered.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is emphasized that last year\u2019s highest level in Berlin gave a serious impetus to the development of practical cooperation of the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contacts were activated at all levels. The turnover last year exceeded 1 billion euros. Cooperation with German business has been expanding – since the beginning of the year, the economy of German companies has been included in the economy of 800 million euros.<\/span><\/p>\n

In June, the eighth meeting of the Uzbek-German business council was successfully held in Tashkent.<\/span><\/p>\n

A highly appreciated projects of financial and technical assistance through the \u2018\u2018KFW\u2019\u2019 Bank and the German Society for International Cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is emphasized that an important event in the cultural sphere was the holding of an exhibition of cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the New Museum of Berlin last year, which was visited by over half a million inhabitants and guests of the capital of Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

The discovery of Avicenna and Henry Shipperges was also noted with satisfaction this summer in Samarkand of the Higher School of Medical Sciences this summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

The parties advocated the continuation of active contacts through parliaments, governments, and foreign ministries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Foreign agencies were instructed to consider increasing the level of Uzbek-German relations, hold regular consultations on international and regional problems, including the situation in Afghanistan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Active interaction will continue within the framework of the United Nations, OSCE, institutions of the European Union and other multilateral structures.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is noted that the strategic program of industrial and technological partnership has been prepared for the current summit. On the study of cooperation projects with leading companies and banks in Germany in the amount of order 9 billion euros.<\/span><\/p>\n

They cover areas such as \u201cgreen\u201d energy, chemical industry, the development of critical materials, mechanical engineering, textile industry, production of building materials and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the most significant, projects for the construction of steam gas power plants in the regions of our country with \u2018\u2018Siemens Energy\u2019\u2019, \u2018\u2018Methanol Island\u2019\u2019 and the production of \u2018\u2018Green Ammonia\u2019\u2019 with \u2018\u2018Linde Group\u2019\u2019, and the development of a large copper deposit with the participation of \u2018\u2018KFW IPEX-Bank\u2019\u2019 were noted. and the production of cable products with GIGA FIBER, the production of carbon fiber with \u201cAMK Global\u201d, black soot and hydrogen with \u2018\u2018Guesscon\u2019\u2019 and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are a number of new projects of localization of pumping systems, renewable energy, for the production of medical devices, and the creation of logistics centers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The agreement has been achieved to accelerate and maintain these projects, to introduce effective instruments for stimulating investment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The importance of the agreements signed during the visit of cooperation in the field of critical raw materials and climate change is emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

An interest in the participation of Uzbekistan in a climate club, created on the initiative of the German government, has been expressed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Particular attention is paid to issues of transport and logistics, the development of a system of effective ground and air routes, and reducing transport costs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The leader of Uzbekistan also proposed to consider the resumption of direct flights of Lufthansa airline to our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

The importance of expanding partnerships between the regions of Uzbekistan and Germany is emphasized. Since the beginning of the year, our country has been visited by representatives of two federal lands of Germany. By the end of the year, the visits of the delegations of Berlin, Bavaria and Thuringia are expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

With satisfaction, the signing was noted during the current visit of the agreement in the field of labor migration aimed at organizing transparent and systemic cooperation in this area.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was proposed at the level of responsible departments to develop a \u201croad map\u201d of practical interaction in the training and direction of the demanded Uzbek specialists to Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

An interest is expressed in the wide implementation of the German model of dual education in the regions of Uzbekistan. For the development of educational and scientific exchange between leading universities, it is proposed to launch a forum of universities of the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to create all the conditions for the implementation of joint programs, the opening of faculties and branches of higher educational institutions in Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is noted that within the framework of the visit, the launch of a joint school for the training of managerial personnel will take place.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the high interest of our youth in the German language, which we study almost 300 thousand young people. An example is the recent victory of a schoolgirl from Andijan districts of Ibragimova at the World Olympiad in the German language.<\/span><\/p>\n

The German side is expressed to promote the expansion of programs to learn language and train teachers in the regions of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is proposed to resume the work of a mixed commission on cultural cooperation.<\/span><\/p>\n
