On October 18th of this year, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attended the 13th meeting of the ministers of economy and trade and the 15th meeting of the economic cooperation working group of the Organization of Turkic States\u2019 member countries in Bishkek, the press service of the Ministry reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The meetings also saw the participation of Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States; Daniyar Amangeldiev, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic; \u00d6mer Bolat, Minister of Trade of T\u00fcrkiye; P\u00e9ter Szt\u00e1ray, State Secretary for Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary; Rovnag Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan; and Nurlan Baibazarov, Deputy Prime Minister \u2013 Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his address, Laziz Kudratov highlighted the Organization of Turkic States\u2019 significant role in international relations and its established connections with the UN, WTO, OIC, ECO, and other international bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting underscored the increase in intraregional trade, investment, freight transport, and tourism. Ambitious regional initiatives are underway in \u2018\u2018green\u2019\u2019 energy and transport communication development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uzbekistan\u2019s foreign trade turnover with the Organization of Turkic States\u2019 member countries has grown by 25% over the past five years, reaching $10 billion last year. Since the beginning of the year, over 500 new enterprises with capital from member states have been established in Uzbekistan, totaling 4,000. Investment inflow from the member states into Uzbekistan\u2019s economy has surpassed $5 billion in the last three years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Several proposals were put forward to further expand multilateral economic cooperation within the Organization. Key proposals include fully digitizing trade and freight transport procedures, establishing a \u2018\u2018Single Window\u2019\u2019 system, creating \u2018\u2018green\u2019\u2019 corridors, ensuring efficient customs operations, and encouraging mutual investments with financial support mechanisms.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are also significant prospects for developing and diversifying global logistics chains and transport corridors, forming a unified transit network, establishing a Council of Railway Administrations headquartered in Uzbekistan, and adopting the \u2018\u2018Turkic Movement to \u2018\u2018Green\u2019\u2019 Energy\u2019\u2019 Concept to boost clean electricity production within the Organization’s member states.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the meeting\u2019s sidelines, Laziz Kudratov engaged in detailed discussions with his counterparts from other countries, examining the current and future state of cooperation both within the Organization and bilaterally. Specific steps for ongoing collaboration were outlined, including advancing initiatives proposed by Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
