{"id":13612,"date":"2024-11-11T14:51:25","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T09:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/?p=13612"},"modified":"2024-11-11T14:51:25","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T09:51:25","slug":"uzbekistan-prinyal-uchastie-v-23-j-ministerskoj-konferentsii-programmy-tsares","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/novosti-uzbekistana\/uzbekistan-prinyal-uchastie-v-23-j-ministerskoj-konferentsii-programmy-tsares\/","title":{"rendered":"Uzbekistan participated in the 23rd Ministerial Conference of the CAREC Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>On November 8 this year, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister Khurram Teshabayev attended the 23rd Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program in Kazakhstan\u2019s capital, Astana, the press service of the MIIT <a href=\"https:\/\/gov.uz\/en\/miit\/news\/view\/26997\">reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_.webp\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13613\" src=\"http:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_.webp 1024w, https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_-300x152.webp 300w, https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_-768x389.webp 768w, https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/b1197967-a8d7-9f4a-2c09-7fc5c76ada29_lists_slider_-254x128.webp 254w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The conference addressed the \u2018\u2018CAREC Climate Change Action Plan\u2019\u2019, \u2018\u2018CAREC 2030 Midterm Review\u2019\u2019, as well as discussions on \u2018\u2018Decarbonization and Regional Energy Security\u2019\u2019, \u2018\u2018Innovative Climate Solutions and AI\u2019s Role\u2019\u2019, \u2018\u2018Development of CAREC Corridor 2\u2019\u2019, and the \u2018\u00afCAREC Institute Activation Plan\u2019\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), leaders from CAREC member countries, and senior officials from ADB, the World Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and other international partners presented reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Reference: Over the past two decades, Uzbekistan has implemented CAREC investment projects worth $19 billion. Over the next five years, Uzbekistan plans to launch 41 additional CAREC investment projects totaling $12.6 billion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">During the plenary sessions, delegates from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan praised Uzbekistan\u2019s progress in socio-economic reforms, highlighting their positive impact on strengthening regional collaboration in energy, innovation, digitalization, and climate change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Flagship CAREC projects proposed for 2025-2026 include energy development, digitalization, barrier-free e-commerce, green development, a CAREC Climate and Sustainable Development Preparation Fund concept, enhanced connectivity, and the \u2018\u2018China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan\u2019\u2019 railway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The conference included the signing of the \u2018\u2018Climate and Sustainable Development Project Preparation Fund Agreement between the ADB and the Ministry of Finance of the PRC\u2019\u2019, the \u2018\u2018Climate and Sustainable Development Project Preparation Fund Agreement between the ADB and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea\u2019\u2019, the \u2018\u2018Partnership Memorandum between the ADB and the Governments of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan on the Caspian Sea Green Energy Corridor Project\u2019\u2019, and the \u2018\u2018Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the ADB\u2019\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Under the latter agreement, ADB is providing a $225,000 grant to support Uzbekistan\u2019s accession to the WTO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">ADB also expressed readiness to fast-track the transport corridors resilience and modernization project, aiming for an early loan agreement, while continuing support for Uzbekistan\u2019s railway modernization and electrification initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The conference concluded with a Joint Ministerial Statement and the decision to elect Kyrgyzstan as the Chair of the CAREC program for 2025.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On November 8 this year, a delegation from Uzbekistan led by Deputy Minister Khurram Teshabayev attended the 23rd Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program in&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":13613,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13612","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-novosti-uzbekistana"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/13612","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=13612"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/13612\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":13614,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/13612\/revisions\/13614"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/13613"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=13612"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=13612"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=13612"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
