In connection with the accession of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the \u201cFramework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in the Asia-Pacific Region\u201d, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-316 dated September 7, 2024 \u201cOn Accession to the International Treaty\u201d was adopted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Background: The Framework Agreement on Facilitation of Cross-border Paperless Trade in Asia and the Pacific is a multilateral agreement adopted by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) on May 19, 2016. The Agreement\u2019s purpose is to promote paperless cross-border trade by creating conditions for the mutual recognition and electronic exchange of trade documents and data, as well as to enhance interoperability among national and subregional systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

This document has been in force since February 20, 2021, with 14 countries officially acceding to date.<\/span><\/p>\n

By joining this Agreement, Uzbekistan aims to further integrate into the global system of paperless trade, accelerating and streamlining export-import transactions with partner countries in the Asia-Pacific region. The Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade has been appointed as the authority responsible for implementing this international treaty.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
