During the visit, the strategic importance of strengthening interregional ties and active exchange of investments, technologies and cultural experience was emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The visit was aimed at developing mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening ties in the areas of trade, investment and culture, as well as launching joint projects between the Tashkent region and Zala Province. During the visit, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov held talks with officials and representatives of business circles in the region, including the Chairman of the Zala Provincial Assembly Attila Pal, the Governor of the province Rozsa \u0160ifter, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dezs\u0151 Kovacs, the Rector of the University of Pannonia Professor Janos Abonya, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pannonia Foundation Zolt\u00e1n Birkner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">An agreement was reached on organizing regular visits between the Tashkent region and the province of Zala with a business forum with the participation of companies from the two regions, as well as Culture Days of the two countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The round table on the topic of &#8220;Prospects for Trade and Investment Cooperation with Uzbekistan&#8221; was attended by representatives of more than 10 Hungarian companies operating in the fields of construction, transport, logistics, oil and gas, forestry, metallurgy and tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">They were given a presentation on the potential of Uzbekistan in the trade, economic, investment and tourism spheres. Hungarian companies expressed interest in expanding trade and investment in Uzbekistan. They were offered to start a business in an industrial zone for Hungarian companies, which is planned to be opened in the Tashkent region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Within the framework of educational and academic cooperation, the University of Pannonia expressed its readiness to cooperate with higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, including \u201cjoint diploma\u201d programs and student exchanges in priority areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The results of the meetings show that the parties are committed to further developing mutually beneficial relations and implementing joint projects that will bring long-term benefits to both Hungary and Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uzbek diplomats visited Zala Province, one of the leading regions of Hungary located in the southwest, the correspondent of &#8220;Dunyo&#8221; news agency reports.
