In 2023, this company accounted for 51.1 percent of the electricity generated in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">During the meeting, the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector of Uzbekistan were discussed. It was emphasized that there are a number of opportunities for cooperation in the implementation of promising projects in the field of renewable energy, especially wind and hydropower.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">An exchange of views also took place on cooperation in the field of transmission, distribution and delivery of electricity to consumers, engineering and technical maintenance of power plants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Malaysian side acknowledged that today Uzbekistan has great opportunities in the field of \u201cgreen\u201d energy. It was noted that the submitted proposals will be studied by the company\u2019s specialists and appropriate decisions will be made based on the results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2018\u2018TNB Genco\u2019\u2019 was founded in 2019 by \u2018\u2018Tenaga Nasional Berhad\u2019\u2019. In Malaysia, the company owns 3 hydroelectric power plants, 6 gas turbine power plants and 3 coal power plants, as well as 2 port terminals. They employ more than 3,400 people.
