{"id":16156,"date":"2026-04-22T17:17:38","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T12:17:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/?p=16156"},"modified":"2026-04-22T17:18:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T12:18:21","slug":"usilivaetsya-pravovaya-zashhita-subektov-predprinimatelstva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/invest-in-uzbekistan.org\/en\/novosti-uzbekistana\/usilivaetsya-pravovaya-zashhita-subektov-predprinimatelstva\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal protection of business entities is being strengthened"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"1655\" data-end=\"1781\"><strong>Under the Law (No. LRU-1131 dated April 17, 2026), amendments and additions have been introduced to several legislative acts, the press service of the Ministry of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/huquqiyaxborot_lotin\/10961\">reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1783\" data-end=\"2105\">According to the amendments to the Criminal Code, intentional concealment of profits (income) or other taxable objects, their understatement, as well as deliberate evasion of taxes or fees in a significant amount, committed after administrative penalties have already been applied for the same act, shall be punishable by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2281\">a fine ranging from 100 to 150 basic calculation units, or corrective labor for up to 2 years, or restriction of liberty from 1 to 3 years, or imprisonment from 1 to 3 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2407\">Previously, this offense was punishable by a fine of up to 15 basic calculation units or corrective labor for up to 2 years.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2542\">Amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code introduce the concept of a representative of a business entity acting as a public defender.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2544\" data-end=\"2901\">Accordingly, a representative protecting the rights and legitimate interests of business entities, or a representative appointed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, may participate in criminal proceedings related to a business entity\u2019s activities during inquiry, preliminary investigation, or trial as a public defender upon the entrepreneur\u2019s request.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2903\" data-end=\"3096\">Additionally, amendments to the Tax Code stipulate that penalties (interest) will not be accrued on additional taxes and fees assessed during the investigation until a court decision is issued.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3098\" data-end=\"3173\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">This Law will enter into force three months after its official publication.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Under the Law (No. LRU-1131 dated April 17, 2026), amendments and additions have been introduced to several legislative acts, the press service of the Ministry of Justice reports.
