To this end, work was organized at the mahalla level, including on-site assessments of energy-sector issues and the implementation of targeted solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative covered 916 mahallas, 832,000 households, 49,000 business entities, and more than 2,200 social-sector facilities. An energy passport and an energy demand balance were prepared for each mahalla.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, for the first time, the gap between actual energy demand and available capacity was calculated with precision at the mahalla level. Specifically, a shortage of 60 megawatts of electricity capacity was identified in 265 mahallas, while an annual deficit of 47 million cubic meters of natural gas was identified in 42 mahallas. At the same time, 207 mahallas were found to have reserve capacity.<\/p>\n<p>This approach makes it possible to forecast future energy demand in advance and prepare the necessary infrastructure in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<p>Based on these findings, the modernization of electricity and gas networks has been accelerated. It was determined that the 14 districts require the repair of 5,695 transformers, 6,900 kilometers of electricity networks, 242 kilometers of gas networks, and 404 gas distribution facilities. Work has already begun to improve their technical condition and transition them to a \u201cgreen\u201d category.<\/p>\n<p>To date, 441 transformers, 1,134 kilometers of electricity networks, 88 kilometers of gas networks, and 92 gas distribution facilities have been repaired.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, several infrastructure projects initiated under investment programs in previous years but left unfinished have now been completed and put into operation.<\/p>\n<p>According to projections, energy demand in these districts will increase by 49 percent over the next five years. In response, a five-year program has been developed, taking into account planned development projects, to ensure reliable and stable energy supply for the population and businesses.<\/p>\n<p>Under the program, 2,261 transformers and 7,449 kilometers of electricity networks will be upgraded in 721 mahallas, while 313 gas distribution facilities and 327 kilometers of gas networks will be modernized in 200 mahallas.<\/p>\n<p>Implementation of these measures will create an additional 1,300 megawatts of transmission and distribution capacity across the regions.<\/p>\n<p>Energy consumption in social-sector facilities was also reviewed. A total of 1,938 facilities were analyzed, and 226 of them, identified as having low energy efficiency, were classified in the \u201cred\u201d category.
