The sides reviewed progress in implementing the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Pakistan on February 5\u20136, particularly in trade, investment, exports, and industrial cooperation.<\/p>\n
Haroon Akhtar Khan noted Pakistan\u2019s interest in taking economic relations with Uzbekistan to a new level and further developing cooperation in trade, investment, exports, and tourism. He said that the friendly and brotherly ties between the two countries provide a foundation for expanding mutually beneficial economic relations.<\/p>\n
The participants also discussed expanding exchanges of delegations, developing interregional cooperation and industrial collaboration, and accelerating work on planned bilateral international agreements.<\/p>\n
Particular attention was paid to preparations for upcoming high-level visits, as well as to holding an Uzbekistan\u2013Pakistan Business Forum and an Interregional Forum focused on achieving concrete, practical results.<\/p>\n
The sides emphasized the importance of developing direct air links. In their view, an increase in flight frequency would help expand contacts between the citizens of the two countries, including trade and tourism ties.<\/p>\n
Air cargo transportation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan was another key topic. Developing air cargo services and transport and transit links is expected to facilitate the movement of goods and contribute to increasing bilateral trade.<\/p>\n
Following the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue efforts to expand trade and economic cooperation and strengthen the longstanding friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
