This was stated by the press secretary and official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Yusup Kabulzhanov.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">So, in May 2018, during the first official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United States, the parties signed a joint political statement &#8220;Uzbekistan &#8211; USA: the beginning of a new era of strategic partnership.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In November 2020, following the results of the Uzbek-American political consultations in Washington, a joint statement was adopted, where it was indicated that the governments of the two countries had decided to raise the format of annual regular contacts to the level of a strategic partnership dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Thus, the meeting scheduled to be held in June will be the first impetus for the development of in-depth cooperation between the two countries.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By the end of June 2021, Uzbekistan and the United States plan to hold the first meeting in the format of a strategic partnership dialogue in Tashkent.
