The meeting was organized within the framework of a visit to Uzbekistan of a Georgian delegation headed by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">During the talks, the parties considered proposals to intensify ties in the fields of politics, economy, transport-communication, tourism and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">It was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/uzbekmid\/3763\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">noted<\/a>\u00a0that there is a significant potential for interaction in the transport and transit sphere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In particular, the sides exchanged views on the effective use of the logistics centers of Uzbekistan and the seaports of Georgia for the export and import of goods, the mutual provision of discounts and benefits for their transportation, the creation of a system of transport corridors linking Central Asia and the South Caucasus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In addition, the parties declared their readiness to continue cooperation within the framework of international institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">In order to intensify cultural and humanitarian exchanges, an agreement was reached to hold Days of Culture and Cinema on a reciprocal basis, as well as to organize joint scientific and technical research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Following the meeting, the parties signed the Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Georgia for 2022-2024.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Foreign Affairs Ministers of Uzbekistan and Georgia signed a cooperation program for two years.
