This project is aimed at providing environmentally friendly electrical energy for the production of copper and zinc at the enterprises of “Almalyk MMC” JSC, meaning the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere and obtaining a “green certificate”, the press center of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Under the project, the winning bidder will design, finance, operate and maintain a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of up to 60 MW AC in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region, for at least 25 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

The selection of the winner of the competition is carried out according to the tariff proposed by the participants for the electrical energy generated by the newly built solar photovoltaic station.<\/span><\/p>\n

JSC “Almalyk MMC” will act as a guaranteed buyer of electricity generated by a solar photovoltaic plant for at least 25 years at an agreed rate.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the construction of this facility, “Almalyk MMC” JSC will provide for a paid lease its own territory with an area of up to 300 hectares, located in the city of Almalyk, not far from the industrial zone.<\/span><\/p>\n

As part of the project, the investor-developer will also have to build a power transmission line to the nearby substation of “Almalyk MMC” JSC.<\/span><\/p>\n

To participate in the preliminary stage of the tender, you must:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Submit an official letter of interest in participating in the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Attach to this letter a brief description of the company and a reference list of implemented similar projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Visit the proposed site for the construction of the facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Submit a preliminary tariff for the sale of electricity (in order to determine the maximum tariff for the official tender).<\/span><\/p>\n

All interested participants must visit the proposed construction site and may also request all the information they need.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the next stage, an official open international competition will be announced with the provision of tender documentation for the preparation of investment proposals. Accordingly, at this stage, the tariff must be specified by the participant and presented as final.<\/span><\/p>\n
