The project is being implemented by the South Korean Sejin G&amp;E.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The construction of a complex for the production of electricity from gas generated at the Akhangaran and Maidontol landfills in the Tashkent region has been launched. This <a href=\"http:\/\/eco.gov.uz\/ru\/site\/news?id=3027\">was reported<\/a> by the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The ceremony of laying the foundation of the complex was attended by a delegation of the Republic of Korea headed by the Deputy Minister of the Environment of this country Yu Chechul, as well as the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan Narzulla Oblamuradov, the First Deputy Minister of Energy Azim Akhmedkhadzhaev and the head of Sejin G&amp;E, which implements the project, Lee Kyung Yong .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The press service of the ministry noted that this is the first project for the production of electricity from landfill gas not only in Uzbekistan, but throughout Central Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Sejin G&amp;E will invest $55 million in direct investment in this project.
