The purpose of the organization is to increase the competitiveness and export potential of Latvian companies in the international market, support the inflow of foreign investment, implement the state policy and the national innovation strategy in the field of tourism development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">LAIR also has the power to issue permits to local companies to hire a shortage of skilled labor from outside.
