Another round of political consultations was held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India

On August 7, 2023, another round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India took place in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The delegations of the parties were headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev and Deputy Foreign Minister of India Sanjay Verma.

During the consultations, a constructive exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues on the Uzbek-Indian agenda, the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level, and the prospects for expanding the legal framework for cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to proposals for enhancing economic diplomacy, increasing mutual trade, implementing joint investment projects, including in the field of industrial cooperation.

A schedule of upcoming contacts between the parliaments, governments and regions of the two countries was considered.

The delegations discussed topical issues of international and regional politics, as well as the Uzbek-Indian dialogue within the framework of multilateral structures.
