The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts on September 16 held a joint meeting with representatives of leading companies and banks of two countries in the city of Samarkand, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
The event was attended by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Protection of the German Climate Michael Kellner, managing director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Michael Harms, leaders and representatives of leading companies KNAUF, CLAAS, MANGOLD CONSULTING, GUNTER PAPENBURG, SIEMENS ENERGY, LINDE GROUP , Aurubis, falk porsche, Metso, Edison Technologies, Ernst Klett, Siemens Healthineers, Herrenknecht, Db Engineering & Consulting, Svevind Energy Group, Rhenus, HMS Bergbau, Textima, as well as KFW banks Velopment Bank, Aka Bank and others.
The head of our state, sincerely greeted all participants in the meeting, emphasized the symbolism of its holding in the historical city of Samarkand.
The results of fruitful negotiations at the highest level were highly appreciated, during which key priorities of the development of the new Uzbekistan were supported in deep transformation and modernization of sectors of the economy.
It was emphasized that the main results of the meeting were agreements on the development of a set of measures to support and accelerate joint investment projects and trading contracts within the framework of the adopted Strategic program of industrial and technological partnership with leading companies and banks in Germany.
Priority spheres of mutually beneficial partnership with the active and practical participation of the business communities of Uzbekistan and Germany are indicated.
We are talking about industrial cooperation in the field of “green energy”, the chemical industry, the production of “green hydrogen”, engineering, electrical, textile, pharmaceutical industry and other areas.
In addition, the promising area indicates the participation of German companies in the development of critical mineral resources deposits and their deep processing, the production of products with high added costs followed by export to Germany and to third countries.
Among the main areas are the modernization of energy, transportation, communal, tourist infrastructure, participation in the privatization of industrial and service enterprises, as well as the implementation of socially significant projects in the field of healthcare, education and ecology in our country.
During the meeting, the President of Uzbekistan separately dwelled on the importance of establishing a close partnership of German business with representatives of large Uzbek companies.
In this context, the importance of developing new design initiatives and continuing the implementation of joint projects in the field of production materials, metallurgy, energy, chemistry, transport infrastructure, agriculture and engineering, medicine and others is emphasized.
– We organized our meeting in a new format. Mostly representatives of the private sector participate from the Uzbek side, who have “got to their feet” in recent years and are worthy partners of German business, – said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the end of the speech, the President of Uzbekistan wished all of great successes in the implementation of the planned plans.
In turn, the Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts, highly appreciated by the steady nature of the development of multifaceted relations with our country, emphasized the importance of strengthening existing business contacts and called on representatives of Germany’s business circles safely in the implementation of joint projects and initiatives.
