A business forum will be held in our country with the participation of companies from Uzbekistan and Malaysia

On May 15-21, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the visit of the Chairman of the International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (MIICCI) Haji Muhammad Amin Fahmi to our country was organized, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry – MIICCI was registered in 2022. The organization consists of representatives of Muslim business circles in Malaysia. The Chamber has its representations in all states of Malaysia.

During the visit of Haji Fahmi to our country, meetings were held with the leadership of the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investments under the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

At the meeting, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information about the opportunities created in our country for foreign investors, the activities of free economic zones, and benefits created for investors.

During the event, organizational issues of holding a business forum in July this year with the participation of Uzbek and Malaysian companies were discussed.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on holding a bilateral business forum in Uzbekistan and attracting leading Malaysian companies producing high-tech products to it; signing, as part of the event, a memorandum of cooperation between the International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, as well as working out a return visit of Uzbek companies and holding a joint business forum in Malaysia.
