The President of Uzbekistan supported the implementation of high-tech projects of Air Products

On May 26, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chief Executive Officer of Air Products Seyfi Gasemi, the press service of the head of our state reports.

Issues of further expansion of practical cooperation with a leading American company, which is a global leader in its field, to promote high-tech projects in strategic sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan were considered.

The head of our state congratulated the head of the company on the successful completion of the transaction and the signing of an agreement on the acquisition of three industrial gas installations of the GTL plant in the Kashkadarya region with the attraction of direct investments in the amount of $1 billion.

The participation of Air Products in another major project – in the construction of a gas chemical complex using MTO technology in the Bukhara region with investments of at least $700 million – was also noted.

Particular attention is paid to promising projects for the development of “green” hydrogen in our country, where another key partner is the Saudi company ACWA Power.

Separately, the importance of training highly qualified specialists in the framework of ongoing projects was noted.
