Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan visited the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (province), where they held a number of meetings and negotiations, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
In particular, a meeting was held with the director of the Krakow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rafal Kulczyski.
Founded in 1850, the Krakow Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the oldest such structure in Poland. Currently it unites more than 200 entrepreneurs.
The state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere between Uzbekistan and Poland were discussed at the negotiations.
The Polish side expressed interest in establishing cooperation with the Samarkand regional department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, as well as readiness to organize a Polish business mission to Samarkand.
Promising areas of cooperation have been identified – construction, agriculture, information technology and the chemical industry.
As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the active participation of companies from the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in the business forum within the framework of the 8th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held on November 28-30 in Tashkent.
