The Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade held a meeting with the Managing Director for the CIS Region at Societe Generale

On May 14, Akram Aliev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Teyba Guliyeva, Managing Director for the CIS Region at Societe Generale, the press service of the MIIT reports.

Societe Generale is one of Europe’s preeminent financial services groups, specializing in corporate and investment banking, asset management, and sustainable finance. Operating in over 60 countries, the group maintains a leading global position in ESG and green finance.

The discussions focused on the prospects for expanding cooperation within Uzbekistan’s financial and corporate sectors, the advancement of investment banking services, Eurobond issuances, the attraction of syndicated loans, and the utilization of various capital market instruments.

The parties also deliberated on financing frameworks for the mining industry, specifically the extraction and processing of technological and rare earth metals, as well as the provision of support for strategic investment initiatives in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
