Uzbekistan and Malaysia discuss the issues of joint production of electric buses in our country

On April 12, representatives of the Embassy of our country held talks with the executive director of the leading Malaysian company “Gemilang Coachwork Sdn. Bhd” by Pang Chong Yong, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.

At the meeting, the Malaysian side was provided with detailed information on the large-scale economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, including “Uzavtosanoat” JSC and its enterprises, the types and volumes of cars produced, the possibilities for the production of electric vehicles in our country, as well as the wide opportunities created for investors in the automotive industry.

During the meeting, representatives of the Malaysian company made a presentation on the activities and potential of the company, where detailed information was provided on the buses produced by “Gemilang Coachwork Sdn. Bhd”, their characteristics and export geography, as well as further plans of the company.

At the meeting, issues of developing mutually beneficial cooperation between this Malaysian company and the enterprises of “Uzavtosanoat” JSC were discussed.

Executive Director of “Gemilang Coachwork Sdn. Bhd” Pang Chong Yong said he was pleased with the development of current cooperation with Uzbekistan. He expressed interest in exploring the possibility of supplying aluminum bodies for the needs of the company and joint production of electric buses with “SamAuto” JV LLC.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on holding online negotiations between the Malaysian company and “Uzavtosanoat” JSC to discuss the prospects for cooperation and explore the possibilities of producing electric buses on the basis of “SamAuto” JV LLC.
