The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of further expanding multifaceted cooperation with Turkey

On May 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of the Republic of Turkey led by Vice-President Cevdet Yilmaz, who arrived in our country to participate in the third Tashkent International Investment Forum, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the conversation, Cevdet Yilmaz conveyed to the head of our state the sincere greetings and good wishes of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Current issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Turkish relations, comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were discussed.

The ongoing intensive contacts at all levels were noted with deep satisfaction. The volume of trade turnover, the number of joint projects and enterprises, and the frequency of direct flights are growing.

With the participation of leading Turkish companies, large investment projects are being implemented in the energy, mining, food, textile and other priority sectors.

Particular attention was paid to preparing the agenda for the upcoming regular meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, primarily the formation of a new portfolio of cooperation projects and a cultural and humanitarian exchange program.
