During a visit to Bursa, employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey and the Consulate General in Istanbul held presentations on the trade, economic and investment potential of our country, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
Members of the associations Young Industrial Business Circles and Managers (GESIAD) and Balkan Business Circles (BALKANSIAD) took part in the events.
Representatives of the Turkish business community were informed about the investment attractiveness of Uzbekistan, the liberalization of the economy in recent years, and the ongoing reforms. The measures taken at the state level to develop foreign trade relations in our country and the favorable conditions created were especially noted.
The participants were told about the ongoing work to organize legal labor migration. An exchange of views took place with the Turkish side on attracting skilled labor from Uzbekistan centrally to Bursa.
Murat Kaya, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Business Circles and Managers of Young Industrialists, praised the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years to improve the business environment and ensure the rights of investors.
“We plan to organize a working trip to Uzbekistan in the near future in order to establish relations between members of the association and partners from Uzbekistan, to discover new directions”, – he said.
Fatih Shakir, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Balkan Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, emphasized the following in his speech: “We, as Balkan Turks, have so far focused on cooperation with the Balkan countries. After today’s event, we decided to establish multifaceted cooperative ties with our fraternal Uzbekistan. In this regard, great opportunities are opening up in such areas as energy, agriculture, building materials, textiles, chemistry, leather and footwear, and the food industry. We are ready to establish cooperation in these areas”.
