On additional measures to strengthen the protection of private property and guarantees of property rights, radically improve the organization of work to support entrepreneurial initiatives, as well as expand the access of business entities to financial resources and production infrastructure

On August 13, 2019, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree that provides for assisting entrepreneurs in gaining access to financial and other resources, a ban on forcing entrepreneurs to sponsor and charity, non-financial support and much more.

In accordance with the Decree, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions, the city of Tashkent, districts and cities are prohibited:

forced involvement of entrepreneurs in activities not related to the implementation of their main activities, including the provision of sponsorship and charitable support, landscaping, landscaping, collection of scrap metal and waste paper, as well as other works;

attracting entrepreneurs to seasonal work in agriculture (sowing and harvesting) and other activities related to the diversion of labor, cash and other material values;

holding meetings and other events with the participation of entrepreneurs on a compulsory basis, including under the threat of applying administrative or other measures against them.
