Samarkand hosted the 1st International Investment Forum “Invest in Samarkand”

Samarkand hosted the 1st International Investment Forum “Invest in Samarkand” and “Made in Samarkand” national exhibition of the regional manufacturers.

Over 310 representatives from 31 countries attended the forum.

Investors and entrepreneurs visited Pure Milky, Agromir, SAG Gilamlari, Afrosiyob Jeans enterprises, received information about the conditions created for entrepreneurs in the region, the investment environment.

Issues of increasing the export potential of the region, attractiveness of the region for attracting capital, formation of the tourism industry in the regional economy, localization of production, development of import substitution and processing of agricultural products were discussed at the forum. B2B, B2G, G2G meetings and a presentation of new investment projects were held.

53 investment agreements worth 1 billion 543 million dollars have been signed. The amount of investments of local entrepreneurs amounted to 126.8 million dollars, and of foreign direct investment – 1 billion 416 million dollars.

At the same time, 61 export contracts worth 181 million dollars were signed during the forum.
