As a result of the investment forum in Namangan signed contracts for 320 million dollars

At the investment forum held on June 7-8 in Namangan, agreements worth more than $ 320 million were signed.

The forum was attended by over 500 people, including 350 foreign guests, including 230 representatives of foreign business circles from 36 countries, accredited diplomatic corps and foreign media in Uzbekistan, as well as 18 ambassadors of Uzbekistan assigned to the Namangan region.

As a result of the first day of the forum, 24 investment agreements and export contracts were signed totaling more than 170 million US dollars. On the second day, another 15 agreements were concluded. A total of 39 contracts were signed for a total of $ 320 million.

During the breakout sessions, a wide range of issues related to the development of industry and renewable energy, agriculture, innovation and tourism in the Namangan region were discussed. Exhibitions of export goods of the Namangan region in various industries, as well as negotiations in the “B2B” and “B2G” formats were organized.

Foreign guests also visited cultural, historical, tourist and educational sites – the archaeological complex Akhsikent, Chorthos Resort, the complex named after Isoқhona Tura Ibrat and others.

Along with this, the Khokimiyat of Namangan region organized separate substantive negotiations with representatives of large foreign companies from the UK, Germany, India, Russia, China, Austria, Singapore, Iran, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and other countries.

Following the forum, the following significant agreements were signed:

  • Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the representative of the Austrian company AME International GmbH and AVK GmbH signed a tripartite Memorandum on improving the material and technical base of the cardiological center of Namangan region with an interest-free credit line of 10.5 million.   • the governor of Namangan region signed an agreement with the chairman of the Indian company Ultimate Investment M. Gupta on the construction of hotels and a business center totaling $ 50.0 million.
  • an agreement has been reached with the Chinese company Yantag Jimpeng Mining to implement a project for the extraction of mineral resources in the Pap district for $ 40.0 million.
  • agreement was reached with Tavif Trading House (Russia) on the export of textile products in the amount of $ 30.0 million.

In addition, an Internet portal was developed and launched to support exporters MADEINNAMANGAN.UZ, containing a catalog of manufacturers in Uzbekistan.

Foreign businessmen expressed the wish to hold such forums annually in the regions of Uzbekistan, which, in turn, will provide an opportunity to inform about the economic potential of the country, the favorable conditions for foreign investors and the improving business climate.
