Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed the creation of an Investment fund for Turkic-speaking countries

On October 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the seventh summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that the of the main current priorities is to create the most favorable conditions for establishing direct, based on mutual understanding and trust relations between entrepreneurs. In this regard, he proposed to establish joint technology parks, innovative start-up companies and venture funds, as well as a joint investment fund and open trading houses in Turkic-speaking countries.

Taking into account that at present more than 40 percent of the population of the Council’s member states is young people, the head of our state proposed for the wide involvement of talented and educated youth in entrepreneurship to establish a Forum of Young Entrepreneurs within the framework of the Turkic Council and hold its first meeting next year in Uzbekistan.

The head of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of implementing major transport and communication projects, which should create wide opportunities for entering the markets of Europe, China and South Asia, as well as effectively using the potential of the new Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway.

Following the results of negotiations, the Declaration of the seventh summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states and other documents were adopted.
