The schools will trust the business

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to develop the spheres of education and training, and science in a new period of development of Uzbekistan.”

In accordance with the decree, on an experimental basis, general educational institutions will be transferred to the trust management of the private sector for 5 years with the right of subsequent extension. At the same time, the funds allocated by the state budget for the maintenance of educational institutions will not be reduced.

The trustee, in turn, will be obliged to:

provide free education for children.

repair buildings.

to strengthen the material and technical base.

In order to benefit, the manager will be allocated empty buildings and land for organizing private educational, sports or cultural organizations.
