Agreement on protection of investments with South Korea

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea on the mutual promotion and protection of investments, which was signed on April 19, 2019.

This Agreement provides for comprehensive legal protection of investments, including a ban on their expropriation or nationalization, freedom to transfer payments, compensation for damage caused to investors and the procedure for resolving disputes between the state and the investor.

Control over the implementation of the Agreement is entrusted to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.N. Aripov.
