Tashkent Law Spring started on April 25 in Tashkent

Tashkent Law Spring started on April 25 in Tashkent. The main theme of the forum is “Right in an era of accelerated modernization.”

The event brought together more than a thousand representatives of the sphere of jurisprudence from 40 countries. Among the guests are the heads of the ministries of justice, leading arbitration centers of the world, law firms – leaders of the international rating “The Legal 500”.

The business program includes 17 discussion sessions in various areas, “round tables”, presentations and master classes.

The forum was addressed by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov, and spoke about 7 main tasks facing Uzbekistan in the legal sphere in the near and distant future.

So one of the tasks is, according to the minister, to attract investment in Uzbekistan.

The Minister acknowledged that without investments Uzbekistan cannot develop, therefore lawyers must create an environment for a favorable investment climate.

“What are the challenges ahead? First of all, this is the constancy of the laws we adopt. An investor should know what awaits him, ”said Ruslanbek Davletov.

Over the past year and a half there have been major changes in the financial and banking sector, tax policy, the law on the privatization of land is being developed for the first time, the minister said.

The minister also stressed that: “many officials tell us: no need to hurry, this work needs to be done gradually. But, in our opinion, for such an active development these works cannot be done slowly. Because if we create this environment today, then tomorrow an investor will come. Therefore, we, lawyers, feeling a great responsibility in this direction, should think about it. ”
