The II International Investment Forum will be held in Jizzak

This year, the II International Investment Forum will be held in the Jizzakh region. It is expected that about 300 investors from more than 50 countries will take part in the forum. It is planned to sign a number of agreements with them.

As a result of the first Dzhizak Investment Forum, 28 agreements and memorandums worth over $ 800 million were signed.

In 2018-2020, Dzhizak region will launch 866 investment projects for a total amount of 26.9 trillion soums (about $ 3.1 billion). This will create almost 30 thousand new jobs in the region.

Over the past 4 months of 2019, 368.5 billion soums were spent in the region within 137 investment projects. The work on them has been completed, the enterprises have been commissioned. In addition, work has begun on 560 projects totaling 2.7 trillion. sums.

In total, the investment program for 2019 included 42 projects involving foreign investment for $ 1.4 billion, of which direct investment will be $ 358.6 million.

The two free economic zones of the region play a special role in attracting foreign direct investment, the press service of the hokimiyat said.

Thus, 15 investment projects worth $ 325.8 million are being implemented in the Jizzak and Zomin-farm FEZ. The commissioning of these enterprises will enable the Jizzakh region to increase its export potential by $ 131.8 million.
