In cooperation with the Consulate General of our country in the PRC, an economic forum was held dedicated to the investment and tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan and proposals for cooperation with the participation of the Secretary General of the China International Trade Promotion Organization Chen Bing, the organization’s specialists, as well as about 50 companies from the Guangxi province of South China, the correspondent of “Dunyo” news agency reports.
The event was also attended by heads of industrial (automobile, electrical, agricultural processing, textile, silk, pharmaceutical, etc.) logistics, tourism, trade, educational companies in this area.
In his opening speech, Chen Bin emphasized that business representatives of the province showed great interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan, and the heads of many companies personally participate in this event.
The Consul General noted that the leaders of the two strategic partner countries pay great attention to interregional cooperation, and the full use of the created opportunities will be mutually beneficial for representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan and China.
An employee of the Consulate General made a presentation on the investment, export and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, promising projects offered for Chinese companies, favorable business opportunities created in the regions of our country.
The participants were provided with information in Chinese about more than 60 projects proposed for implementation in Uzbekistan.
They were acquainted with the reforms carried out in the field of tourism and comfortable infrastructure in our country in recent years. In particular, it was noted that a cultural and tourist facility in a new format was created in Samarkand – the “Eternal City” historical and ethnographic park, where the meeting participants were invited to visit with their families.
During the event, the leaders of Chinese companies received detailed answers to a number of questions of interest to them, such as the tax system in Uzbekistan, duties and benefits for foreign companies, available transport and logistics capabilities, infrastructure, imports, obtaining permits.
