The President of Uzbekistan spoke in favor of effective implementation of the potential of interregional cooperation with China

On September 5, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the People’s Republic of China headed by a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Secretary of the Tianjin Party Committee Chen Min’er, the press service of the head of our state reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chen Min’er conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to the head of our state.

The issues of further deepening the Uzbek-Chinese multifaceted cooperation and practical interaction in accordance with the agreements at the highest level, primarily within the framework of active interregional dialogue, were discussed.

The highest level of Uzbek-Chinese friendship and all-weather strategic partnership achieved in recent years was noted with deep satisfaction.

Special attention was paid to promoting cooperation projects with leading companies of the city of Tianjin in the fields of trade, industry, green energy, construction and modernization of infrastructure, agriculture, textile, pharmaceutical and other industries.

The importance of expanding programs of innovation, educational and cultural exchange was emphasized.

An agreement was reached on the adoption of a ‘‘road map’’ of mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and the city of Tianjin.
