Promising joint projects for the production of building materials in Karakalpakstan were presented in Cairo

Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan met in Cairo with the Managing Director of the Industrial Chamber of Building Materials of the Federation of Egyptian Industrialists, Hatim al-Manoufiy, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for further development of cooperation in the construction sector.

The Egyptian side was presented with projects related to the production of building materials in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The Egyptians were particularly interested in the possibility of mining limestone in the Beruniy and Takhiatash districts, the production of basalt fiber from basalt stone and the processing of natural finishing stones.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold additional negotiations and further discuss specific projects with companies interested in cooperation in these areas.
