Tashkent region has huge economic potential due to its proximity to the capital and its role as a hub connecting the valleys of our country and international roads, the press service of the head of our state reports. Over the past seven years, the region has absorbed investments worth almost 9.4 billion dollars, created more than 143 thousand jobs and export opportunities worth 5 billion dollars.
In continuation, 125 projects worth a total of 26 billion dollars are planned for the period 2024-2026. Of these, 21 strategic, 52 industry and 52 regional projects. As a result of these initiatives, it is envisaged to create 42 thousand jobs.
11 projects worth a total of 3.4 billion dollars were presented to the head of state.
Investors are companies from China, South Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Azerbaijan, as well as local entrepreneurs. In the textile, food, medical, electrical, energy, construction, geological, service and other industries, 23 thousand jobs will be created.
For example, together with Chinese investors, the ‘‘Great Silk Road’’ industrial technopark will be created in the city of Almalyk. More than a hundred projects worth $1 billion will be located here, creating about 3 thousand new jobs.
In the Zangiata district, together with South Korean investors, the production of medical products for the treatment of liver, joint, eye and brain diseases will be established. This production will provide employment for 200 people.
The President gave instructions on creating all the necessary conditions for investors, monitoring each stage of projects and promptly resolving emerging issues.
