On December 4 this year, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with the founder and head of the Fouad Al-Ghanim and Sons Group of Companies, Fuad Muhammad al-Ghanim, the press service of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade reports.
During the meeting, representatives of the Kuwaiti company highly appreciated the changes in Uzbekistan, according to the recommendations of large Kuwaiti investors – a country of great opportunities, and expressed interest in participating in new mutually beneficial projects.
In this context, the Kuwaiti side was presented with project initiatives in the areas of healthcare, transport infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and the production of building materials.
The opportunities opening up for participants in the public-private partnership program of Uzbekistan, which provides for attracting long-term investments worth more than $30 billion in various sectors, were announced, which emphasizes the country’s commitment to sustainable development and economic growth based on trust and comprehensive protection of investors’ rights.
Following the meeting, the Kuwaiti delegation expressed its readiness to take further practical steps to work on the discussed projects in cooperation and with full support of specially assigned project managers from the Ministry.
