During the visit of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Fariddin Nasriev to the Iranian province of Mazandaran, a meeting was held with the governor of the region Mehdi Yunusi Rostami, the correspondent of ‘‘Dunyo’’ news agency reports.
During the meeting, issues of bringing the interregional cooperation of the two countries to a new level in various spheres, including trade and economic, investment, tourism, cultural and humanitarian ties, were discussed.
The governor noted that in recent years, thanks to the political will of the leaders of Iran and Uzbekistan, cooperation between the two countries has reached a new level. It was emphasized that there is potential for further expansion of cooperation in such areas as trade and industry, investment, agriculture and tourism.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on a plan for further action to develop relations in these areas. The parties agreed to organize mutual visits of business representatives to the regions of the two countries and hold joint trade exhibitions.
