The President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Advisor Suma Chakrabarti

On March 19, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Advisor on Economic Development, Effective Governance and International Cooperation Suma Chakrabarti, the press service of the head of our state reports.

The main areas of the Advisor’s activities in the current year were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of further promoting the country’s investment potential in the international arena, taking practical steps to complete the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization, and improving the qualifications of civil servants in leading foreign educational institutions.

The importance of holding the upcoming “road show” of Uzbekistan’s investment potential, the Tashkent International Investment Forum with the involvement of leading foreign companies and financial institutions at a high level was emphasized.

The meeting touched upon the practical aspects of the launch of the Tashkent International Commercial Court under the International Center for Digital Technologies, priority measures to strengthen the country’s position in international rankings, and conducting fundamental research in the field of economic development of the country.
