China Eximbank and China International Development and Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) will participate in the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum

On April 10–11, as part of the visit by the delegation from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade to the People’s Republic of China, a series of high-level meetings were held, including with Yang Dongning, Vice President of Eximbank, and Li Xunfen, Deputy Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), the press service of the Ministry reports.

During the meetings with Eximbank leadership, discussions focused on the implementation of key joint projects. These include the production of technical and electrical equipment, the reconstruction and modernization of irrigation infrastructure in various regions of Uzbekistan, and the advancement of development and telecommunications initiatives.

The head of Eximbank expressed readiness to take these projects under personal supervision and to undertake all necessary measures to ensure their timely and efficient implementation. It was also agreed to expedite the approval of new project packages and introduce a systematic monitoring mechanism, including project categorization and progress evaluation.

In talks with CIDCA, both sides reached agreements on expanding cooperation, including the incorporation of new areas such as the modernization of scientific research institutes (NIIs) in Uzbekistan, development of telecommunications, and the establishment of quantum metrology laboratories in remote regions.

Furthermore, the Chinese side extended an invitation to the leadership of MIIT to participate in the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), scheduled for September 2025. They also expressed interest in taking part in the Second Uzbek-Chinese Interregional Forum and the Fourth Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held in Uzbekistan from June 10 to 12.
