The President held a meeting with foreign investors

During his visit to the Andijan region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of foreign companies planning to implement investment projects in the region, the press service of the head of our state reports.

As was noted at today’s meeting, this year in Andijan it is planned to commission 763 small and micro hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 24 megawatts, and next year – another 20 megawatts.

One of the Chinese companies expressed its readiness to establish the production of the necessary equipment for such hydroelectric power plants directly in the region. The constructed stations will be serviced free of charge for a year.

A large-scale program for the improvement and construction of the city of Babur was announced the day before. Many investors expressed interest in participating in the construction of the new city.

In particular, the Chinese investor intends to invest 250 million dollars in the construction of a modern multifunctional complex. According to the project, a business center, a hotel, shopping malls and houses with 3 thousand apartments will appear on an area of ​​55 hectares.

At the meeting, detailed information on this and other projects was presented. The head of state gave instructions to responsible persons to intensify work on attracting investments, establish close cooperation with investors and create all necessary conditions for them.

This concluded the President’s visit to the Andijan region. The head of state returned to Tashkent.
