Issues of deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan were discussed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On May 1, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Keisuke Suzuki, Minister of Justice of Japan.The parties discussed issues related to the further deepening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Japan, the press service of the MFA reports.

During the conversation, it was noted that both countries continue to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation. A number of regional and global issues were discussed, including the exchange of best practices in the areas of legal reforms, modernization of the judicial and legal system, improvement of governance, and ensuring the rule of law.

In addition, new opportunities for institutional cooperation between the justice systems of the two countries were explored, aimed at supporting ongoing reforms in both nations. The meeting, held in a constructive atmosphere, marked an important step toward elevating legal cooperation between the two states to a new level.
